about me

Hi! My name is Annika Ackermann (she/her) and I am a DGSF-certified systemic counsellor and sexual counsellor in training (with the SPT Institut).

Since 2008, I have been practicing polyamory. This led to a keen interest in alternative relationship models, communicaton and sexuality. When I say sexuality I refer to both sexual orientation and sex as something we practise (or exclude) with ourselves and in partnership(s).

I first encountered the systemic approach in 2013 during my own therapy. Then as now, I am inspired by the appreciation, self-empowerment and humour that this method brings.

My work is LGBTQ+, kink and sex work friendly.

I am also the co-founder of ENP, a network for counsellors and therapists who work with polyamory.

My other projects

Below are my polyamory related projects, currently only available in German.

  • Every year in November I co-organise the polyamory online conference. Speakers are therapists and counsellors of the ENP as well as guests from various other fields.

  • With my colleague Leonie Henning, I regularly host online workshops about polyamory. The goal is to provide information, best practices and tools for a happier polyamorous life.

  • We also have a growing library of polyamory workshops available for downloading - allowing you to watch at your own speed and as often as you want.

  • Currently we are developing a polyamory online training for mental health professionals (a free intro video is available in German here).

The training consists of two parts – the first part is a foundational course that provides in depth information and tools for successfully practicing polyamory, and the second part is a work-specific extension for mental health professionals who work with or would like to start working with clients who practise non-monogamy.

Are you interested in participating and would like to be kept up to date? Please write me and I will add you to the mailing list.
